Vanillin Z-pods®
The Z-pod® topical delivery system is the next generation of extended-release technologies in the cosmetic industry. Z-pods are amorphous silica particles that can be loaded with an active ingredient of choice and that can be incorporated into almost any cream, lotion, serum, or foam….the organoleptics are exquisite! Once applied, the Z-pods effectively embed into the stratum corneum and into follicles and persist there, slowly releasing the active ingredient over 8-24 hours. Z-pods typically slough off along with dead skins cells during skin's natural continuous renewal cycle.
We recommend that the Z-pod® technology be incorporated into a final product with the assistance of a trained formulation chemist. All samples and products are shipped with a certificate of analysis performed at the time of the product’s manufacture that includes particle-size range, load factor of the active ingredient (payload), and a loss-on-drying measurement.
